Importance of Resources: Wood, Stone and Money

Wood is a crucial resource that is needed throughout the game, not just for building structures. It is particularly important because it allows you to recruit your main fighting units in each technological stage. Underestimating the value of wood can be detrimental as the cost of units increases. Spearmen cost 100 wood per unit, while phalanx units require 750 wood per unit.

Stone is also essential throughout the game and cannot be obtained through trading. Most buildings require stone and it is the primary way to generate money, with 50 money earned per 1000 stone. Producing more stone allows for a faster accumulation of money.

Food is necessary for generating new population and, at specific points, population growth results in the creation of workers. Insufficient food can lead to the death of population. Choices often arise on the map such as deciding whether to engage in war quests for +20 food per second or prioritize obtaining workers. While the achievement may be a reason to choose the food option, workers should not be ignored. In later stages of the game, multiple workers are needed to efficiently operate all buildings, though prioritization is necessary in the early game. Bonus workers obtained through the map or Ascension can also be beneficial.

Money is a significant asset in the game, allowing players to have greater control over various situations. If wood production is insufficient for recruiting new troops the market can be used to trade for a wood production buff that lasts for 5 minutes. It is possible to stack these buffs so purchasing 10 at once can provide easy control during crises. Each wood buff costs 300 gold, but it is a feasible investment.

Regarding heroes the level of heroes obtained at the start of the game is the lowest. The hero level represents the player's tech level. To farm high-level heroes it is much better to do so in the last technological age. Personally, I would reach the last tech epoch, intentionally allow myself to be severely impacted by a battle to receive the bonus for more rare drops and then utilize the lightning ability of the theater building.

Unique heroes can also be found, but they are quite rare. The challenge lies in the fact that these heroes drop at around level 22 or lower, requiring upgrades to reach higher levels.

To ensure progress in the game you need to read the game options. These options reveal that it is possible to farm resources using the keyboard.

A notable feature is the ability to change the game speed to 400%. In the game options the speed automatically returns to normal during crises or wars, eliminating the need for concern.
